The Planning, Engineering and Public Works Department works cooperatively with other KIB Departments to:

  • Maintain and operating CAD and GIS systems
  • Participate in Health and safety programs for KIB staff, and emergency preparedness plans for Reserve
  • Effectively use the Band's financial system
  • Effectively communicate by face to face discussions, using the Band’s website and other media
  • Support for planning, land use, housing, development, environmental, and cultural initiatives

  • Engineering work including planning, design, construction
  • Consultant liaison
  • Project Management / Contract Management
  • Maintaining the Band’s engineering and planning drawings
  • Water meter readings and coordination
  • Participate on the capital committee, wastewater project, Development Approvals Board
